Wedding Planner
Carolina Muzo

From an early age, Carolina Muzo, a young woman from Quito with an innate passion for floral design, was immersed in a world of color and creativity. Born into a family of renowned florists, her destiny seemed set among bouquets and arrangements. However, her ambition took her beyond flowers; she wanted to transform each wedding into a magical and unique moment.

Carolina began her academic journey at the Escuela Politécnica del Ejército (ESPE), where she graduated as a Commercial Engineer. There, she gained solid knowledge in administration, production, finance, and human resources—skills that would be fundamental to her future career. Yet, her love for floral art never faded. She graduated as a Master Florist of the Republic of Ecuador and continued her training at renowned international schools, earning certifications in floral decoration and specializing in wedding design at the prestigious New York Botanical Garden.

Her desire to learn led her to travel to the United States, where she studied to become a Bridal Consultant. But Carolina didn’t stop there; she trained with industry legends like Preston Bailey, David Tutera, and Martha Stewart, accumulating vast experience that distinguished her as a wedding expert. At the end of 2012, her dedication led her to achieve the title of Master Wedding Planner, becoming the first person in South America to receive this prestigious recognition from the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC).

That same year, Carolina was appointed Director of the Ecuadorian chapter of the ABC, where she focused her energy on founding a wedding planner school and creating an association of wedding suppliers. Over time, her company, Mi Boda Mágica, became synonymous with excellence in wedding planning, serving more than 850 couples and earning recognition as the best wedding operator in Ecuador.

Her work did not go unnoticed. Carolina was recognized internationally on several occasions, standing out among the top wedding planners in the region. In 2024, she was awarded as the best destination wedding planner in LATAM at the LATAM Wedding Awards—a testament to her dedication and creativity.

Throughout her career, she has shared her knowledge and passion through publications, launching her book “Cómo hacer tu boda mágica” in 2019, followed by “De bodas en crisis a bodas mágicas” in 2020, during a time of uncertainty for many.

Carolina has not only established herself as a professional in the wedding industry but has also been a fervent promoter of Ecuador as an ideal destination for romance tourism in Latin America. Her ambitious vision aims to attract foreign couples to marry in the country, generating economic benefits that could boost the wedding industry in the region.

Today, Carolina continues planning destination weddings in Colombia, Panama, and the Dominican Republic, bringing her charismatic approach and Zero Error policy to every event. With over 850 weddings to her name and an impeccable reputation, Carolina Muzo not only creates weddings but also brings to life the dreams of those who trust in her magic.
