Frequently asked questions

Do you plan weddings outside Quito and Ecuador?

Yes. We plan weddings throughout Ecuador, including the Galápagos Islands, and destination weddings in Colombia, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Mexico, working with local alliances and the best vendors in each destination.

How far in advance should we book a wedding planner?

It depends on the service: we recommend 6 to 8 months ahead for the Platinum wedding, about 3 months for an elopement, and 1 year to 18 months for a destination wedding.

We live abroad. How does planning work?

We work online, with Zoom meetings and every step organized in Google Drive so you can review everything at any time. You only need two trips: one to personalize the details, with tastings, music and décor previews, and one to celebrate your wedding.

Do you take commissions from vendors?

No. Mi Boda Mágica takes no commissions from any vendor: we negotiate discounts, concessions and gifts for the couple, which in practice help pay for our fees.
